BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors will have four members who will serve as the Executive Committee. The four positions of the Executive committee shall be the President, the Vice President, the Treasurer and the Secretary. The term of these members will be five years, renewable for five years subject to willingness of the member to serve and the concurrence of seventy-five percent of the Board membership.

Dillip Patra

Chairman

Mr. Dillip Patra is the President of City Stone LLC, Houston. A seasoned business owner and entrepreneur, he brings extensive experience in leadership and management. He holds a degree in Industrial and Production Engineering from Utkal University Odisha. Mr. Patra is known for approachable leadership style and commitment to excellence have earned him great respect among colleagues and peers. He has been an integral member of the OCC Board of Directors since its inception, contributing significantly to its growth and success.

Sasmita Mohanty

President

Samita (Bindi) Mohanty is dedicated to preserving and promoting Odia and Indian heritage. With over 20 years of professional experience at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, she brings strong leadership, organization, and compassion to every initiative she undertakes. Bindi is deeply passionate about community service and cultural engagement, continuously creating meaningful opportunities for people of all ages to connect with their roots and celebrate the richness of Indian traditions.

Swaroop Panda

Vice President

Swaroop is an Information Technology professional, works with LyondellBasell as an Enterprise Architect. His cheerful and easy going personality makes him a go to person in the Odia community. He leads the maintenance team in OCC and serves as a Director in the board with full commitment and vigour. He also led the South-West Chapter of Odisha Society of Americas as a President.

Devi Udgata

Secretary

Dr. Devi Udgata works in the Financial Services Industry. Before joining the Financial Services Industry, he worked in the Oil & Gas sector for several years. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad and then obtained his PhD in Geology from the University of Kentucky. His passion & mission is helping people, and is active in various charitable & outreach activities.

Sunil Sahoo

Treasurer

Sunil works for Wolters Kluwer as a team lead for IT and operations. He has more than 16 years of experience in the IT industry. He is passionate about life in general and wants to make other's lives better in any way he can. Serving on the OCC board is one of his ways of accomplishing that goal.

Anupam Satpathy

Director

Anupam works as a Senior Architect with Insperity in thier HRMS Solutions. Growing up in Baripada Odisha India. He serves the OCC BoD as a Director. He believes in engaging with community in a meaningful way to promote Indian culture and help the next generation to build a growth mindset through volunteering and serving the community they live in.
